The UK will host COP26 to bring together world leaders to commit to urgent global climate action, in Glasgow 1 – 12 November 2021.
We cannot afford to wait to act against the threat of climate change. We must work together to protect our planet and people and ensure a greener, more resilient future for us all. The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The UK is committed to working with all countries and joining forces with civil society, companies and people on the frontline of climate change to inspire climate action ahead of COP26.
COP26 will be a carbon-neutral conference, with sustainability at its core, that will leave a positive legacy. We will meet the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) sustainability requirements for the delivery of COP26.
